In short: XR Viewer collects no personal data. No account, no password, no advertising, no tracker, no usage analytics. The app is free and runs over a local Wi-Fi network: nothing is sent to the internet, neither to the publisher nor to anyone else.
XR Viewer is the mobile and headset companion of an immersive training tool. During a session, a trainer prepares a scenario on their computer (3D model, 360° photos, learning activities) and broadcasts it to the devices present in the room. Your phone, tablet or mixed-reality headset simply displays that scenario and sends back to the trainer's computer what is needed to run the group activity.
The app is only useful when that trainer computer is present, on the same local Wi-Fi network. It connects to no remote server and does not operate on its own over the internet.
The following are never read, requested, stored or transmitted: first and last name, e-mail address, phone number, contacts, calendar, device photos and files, geographic location (GPS), advertising identifiers, usage history, health or biometric data, audio or video recordings.
So that a multi-user session can work, the devices in the room exchange the following with each other, over the local network only:
This information stays in memory for the duration of the session: it is not written to a file, not sent to the internet, not shared with third parties, and is discarded when the app is closed or the trainer's computer is shut down.
Used only to read QR codes: joining the room's Wi-Fi network, and aligning the virtual scene with the real room. Frames are analysed live on the device, one by one, then immediately discarded: no picture or video is ever recorded, shown to others or transmitted. The permission is requested the first time you start a scan and may be declined — the rest of the app keeps working.
Used only to offer to join the room's local Wi-Fi network after reading the connection QR code. The app does not read your list of saved networks and changes no other phone setting. On iOS the connection stays manual: the app merely displays the network name and password for you to type in.
Used to communicate with the trainer's computer over the local network (automatic session discovery). No request is made to any server on the internet.
No data is sold, rented, transferred or shared. The app embeds no third-party service: no analytics, no advertising, no social network, no crash reporting, no push notifications. The only network traffic happens between your device and the trainer's computer, on the room's local network.
The app is used in vocational training centres and schools, under the responsibility of a trainer or a teacher. It collects no personal data whatever the age of the user, and performs no profiling and no advertising targeting.
Since no personal data is collected or stored, there is no database, no retention period and no transfer of data outside the European Union. Exchanges remain confined to the room's local network. Scenario content (3D model, images) may be kept temporarily in the app cache to avoid downloading it again for each session: it contains no personal data and disappears when you clear the app data or uninstall the app.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. In practice the publisher holds no data about you: there is nothing to consult, correct or delete on its side. You may nevertheless write to the address below with any question about this policy.
This policy may change, for instance if a new feature required an additional permission. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page.
